Hello, We should work together.

Active since 1986 on the Internet, in UI/UX Design & Programming development for software applications.

I'm able to take design of a project from graphic designers and turn those into functional web pages. I am very good with user experience with instrument development for data gathering, and front-end development. I'm focusing on mobile apps in addition to web sites, and responsive design. I can code, work on UI and front end, can follow or lead others. I use lists, milestones, and Agile methods to manage my tasks or other project tasks. Please see my My Curriculum Vitae / Resume

I think that portable devices are the way things will go in life.

Fluid

This site depicts an attempt to realize a web design approach of Responsive Design. It is aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experiences—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices -- from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones. I used to develop executable code and UI for both PC and Mac; and with one code setup. Now again with newer devices, having one code set and set of design elements across a wide range of devices -- or as much as possible!

Strengths

As trends in UI and UX expand to work with new-er devices, my design and technical approaches change as well. Every 2-3 years, I am expanding my skillset to work with

  • JavaScript for motion graphics,
  • Programming and design for mobile and web,
  • Additional devices,
  • Responsive and reactive design,
  • etc.

Projects

Have at look at these Select Projects.

Site_Tech

JavaScript is the selected technology in use for motion graphics on this site. While I have been using Flash for motion graphics in web pages and banners, JavaScript and many 3rd party libraries and plug-ins work very well to accomplish some very nice effects, animation and transitions. I also used jQuery and the very lovely Isotope plug-ins are used on this site. I use JavaScript to create animations within banners as well as pages. Sadly, my reliance on Flash is low now. It was a great technology that just has plain bad memory management.

I have used other 3rd party libraries and plug-ins such as MooTools, Greensock, script.aculo.us, DoJo, Fancybox, FancyZoom, jCarousel, and modernizr. They are becoming increasingly stable across browsers.

About Me

Enterprise-level, Clouded-Based Product Manager

Optimizing user engagement for brands such as ESPN, Comcast, Verizon Labs, Fidelity and GE. Expert in providing a compelling user experience to improve brand loyalty, customer retention and site visits.

I trained in the art and science of application development with User Centered Design methods. I credit intensive math classes and working with highly experienced senior programmers to help me solve some of the weirder issues I have come across in development. I also credit Architecture classes and practice to focus interests in design and project planning. UI/UX attracted me to software and hardware application development. Programming was an entree to software design. My natural aptitude for design aesthetics dovetails well with the application projects I have developed. I have worked with many kinds of startups as well as larger corporate initiatives in the industries of healthcare, education, finance and sports.

My projects achieve increased user adoption, reduced user errors and training requirements. I identify and define requirements earlier and reduce development costs.

As always, I look forward to new possibilities in future information systems for product development, marketing, sales and entertainment. Please see my My Curriculum Vitae / Resume

LUCKY

I feel lucky in this life, that I have able to have a job I don't ever consider work.

I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did.” ― Steve Jobs

To be invited to join a group effort to develop something that had not previously existed has been the best part of life. And I hope to continue, please send invitations.
